Voici un message publié sur le forum de Kifaru qui annonce l'arrivée d'un nouveau sac dans leur gamme, de type un jour mais qui peut largement évolué comme la plupart des sacs Kifaru :

Hey guys, we will soon have another pack in the lineup. It will be called the Xray, and is a one day pack that is capable of much more. You will easily be able to do an overnight with this pack, yet it is still small enough for a day pack. It will work well as an EDC type pack or small assault pack.

The Xray will be 1800ci with 17" stays, versus the Marauder and Zulu's 19" stays. The 17" frame allows you to use any hydration bladder, most all laptops, binders, clipboards, and such. Also, the Long Pockets fit perfect on the sides. It is a combination top loader/panel loader, so you will have the option of stuffing your gear like a top loader, or organizing it like a panel loader. There is a small pocket on the top lid, and a center zip mesh pocket underneath the top lid. The front panel is just like on a Marauder, but smaller. There are 5 rows of PALS with 6 channels across on the front of the panel, and 4 rows of PALS with 6 channels across on the back of the panel, with a zippered pocket that is the whole panel. There are 6 rows of PALS on the sides of the pack, with 4 usable channels across. The Xray uses the standard Omni Suspension and waistbelts. There are tab loops on the top lid and the bottom of the pack for Pods. We decided to incorporate removable compression straps all around, the sides and the bottom. We also went to 2 double adjust SR buckles that click together in the center of the pack, for the side compression straps. No more clicking out 4-6 buckles to get into the panel. There is a bladder pocket inside the pack against the back, just like on the Express.

The Xray does not have lifter straps, as it is too short, so the shoulder straps are a little different than on the other Omni packs. There is no lifter strap webbing on the shoulder straps, and no quick eject buckles. Also, the ends of the adjusting straps connect to the pack just like on the Scout and E&E. We will be offering these shoulder straps to use on the E&E. All you will have to do is cut your 2" webbing on the E&E to the length you want, and thread the new shoulder straps on.

You can expect to see some new pockets tailored for the new Xray, yet usable on all of our packs. Look for an organizer pocket that will be sized to fit on the front panel of the Xray, so you will be able to get to all your small items without getting into the pack itself. Stay tuned!

You can click onto the link below for pics. I'm not very good at photos, but you will get the idea at least. Also, the pack pictured in Foliage green, is a pre-production prototype, so there will be some minor changes. One will be the label moved to the front panel just above the top row of PALS, and the velcro patch centered on the top pocket. The price has not yet been determined, and we don't have a release date yet, but it will be soon. Here ya go, and click onto the pics to bring them up to full size, and I just added more pics (April 22 Sunday).
