La liste du matos de Patrick et les motivations derrière ses choix:
i really got to give my gear a run for its money this trip.
here is the basic list of what i brought on this 5 day, 4 night trip.
we were mostly in alpine and subalpine environments much of the time.
what terrific views and cross country terrain.
clothing:
6 pairs of trail boot socks, 1 pair camp lounge socks
1 pair chaco sandals
Asolo GTX boots (i choose lighter weight but with full rand; like approcah boots. they performed like champs even though the terrain demanded heavier boots. note that i typically hate GTX footwear, but due to the wet, marshy cross country terrain at treeline levels, it was a must)
big anges rem mummy sleeping pad
multicam boonie hat
big agnes 20 degree down bag
big anges seedhouse superlight1 tent with ground tarp
tad gear base layer top and bottom (i wore one size up in the top to use as a very light pullover "sweater" i could wear over my t-shirt)
tad gear f10 cargo shorts in AC HP
tad gear prototype f10 cargo pants in 50/50 ripstop m84 flecktarn
tad gear ranger hoodie
tad gear prolite 3L hardshell in me green
tad gear prototype predator 3L hardshell pants in stormshield lite
tad gear merino braincase beanie
tad gear proto fleece neck gaiter
3 pairs patagonia capliene knit briefs
1 cotton bandana
maui jim no-hinge titanium frame polarized sunglasses (not my style, but were an awesome fit and performers)
OR govt' programs coyote khaki gaiters
1 pair msr trekking pole4s
ice axe
2L msr hydration bladder (didn't pack my camelbak so had to pick the msr up locally in bozeman)
1AA LED pocket light
petzl e-lite /headlamp
1L nalgene collapsing canteen
warren thomas model2 all ti folder
explorer SAk
iphone with head phones
paperback
1st aid kit
small repair kit
personal kit
550 cord
approx 10lbs of food to cover 6 days (1 extra day was for emergency)
this consisted of freeze dried single man dinners
bagels with dry aged cheese and organic turkey sticks for lunch
powdered drink mix
instant oatmeal for breakfast
misc snacks
trail bars
this was all housed in a 3500 cubic in MOLLE pack with the skirt up for the first 2 days; 4000 cubes total estimate. used tad bc4, sere, OS, icomms to organize and round out the pack set up.
my pack weighed in at about 52lbs at the start. i usually like to carry less than 40, but this trip duration and conditions required a more complete load out.
Comme quoi au delà du marketing, les mecs de chez Tad sont vraiment des passionnés d'Outdoor et d'aventures comme nous...
Ils sont les premiers à tester leurs concepts et pas dans un living...
Bien à vous,
Rod
